Lwanga Egbewatt Arrey is an intern at the ISDP Asia Program and is enrolled in the master’s program in Political Science at Uppsala University. His research has focused on multilateral crisis management, Russian, US, and EU foreign and security policy, and the environment-security nexus. His master’s thesis primarily focused on the role of great power influence in the emergence of inter-institutional regional security governance arrangements, specifically focusing on the role of France in forging EU cooperation with the G5 Sahel Joint Force. His general research interests include multilateral security governance and crisis management, great power strategic competition, and climate-related security risks.
